Our Mission: The Mission of the Africa Christian Youths Development Foundation clearly reflects the special biblical mandate given to us by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 9:37-38, and it reads:

So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest

Ask him to send out more workers for his fields."

The Foundation came into existence as a direct response to the above mandate, in September 2003, after a three-day National Christian Youths Leadership Seminar, organized by Project Hope-Nigeria at the University of Jos, Jos-Plateau State of Nigeria.

From this very humble beginning, we have committed our resources, talents, energies and time towards facilitating and leading initiatives aimed at:

- Building and strengthening the individual capacities of young people to make biblically-shaped responses to social challenges in the contemporary world.

- Working with local churches and communities to inculcate family values and promote a greater sense of our shared experience.

- Nurturing the spiritual life of young Christians such that they become worthy Ambassadors of the Lord Jesus.

- Igniting young Christians for workplace transformation by modeling our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our Philosophy

Our work is based on the conviction that to alleviate poverty, Harnessing Community Participation as a major tool to execute our programmes through the Integrated Community Participatory Development Approach.

PAC has found that we cannot celebrate our remarkable achievements in science and technology and other areas of human endeavors, while million of our fellow human beings, continue to live in a world of deprivation and starvation. Our continent faces daunting challenges, above all by poverty now exacerbated by HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Families and the whole society are often caught in a downward spiral of poverty, illness and environmental degradation, spurred on by high population growth rates that outstrip efforts to address other crucial development issues, because most families have too many children that they can hardly cater for.

African Citizens Development Foundation, Ikeja, Nigeria, West Africa

ACDF is an acronym for African Citizens Development Foundation. It is a private initiative to curb and if possible eradicate the tragedic effects of indiscipline in African society which include: lawlessness, corruption, poverty, violence, strife, greed, avarice and other negative social forces.

African Citizens Development Foundation was established out of the realization that bad leadership is actually the bane of development in Africa. The founder of the Foundation, Otunba Dele Ajayi Smith strongly believes that bad leadership is the product of the nature of the citizens.

In essence, the quality of the followership determines the leadership. And since the leadership and the followership cannot be divorced from the socio-economic and political system that is operative in a society, it is imperative to awake the consciousness of the citizes to the truth that they hold the ace to good governance

Founded on the 3rd of April 1995 and registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in the year 2000, the Foundation sets out to redeem the image and values of Africa through education on the importance of integrity, which breeds transparency and accountability in development.

The African Citizens Development Foundation is strongly committed to projects and programmes that are geared towards transformation of the whole Africa from what it is to what it ought to be. We focus on a number of programmes within our broad objectives.

Autism Associates, Nigeria

AUTISM ASSOCIATES is an organization founded by Psychologist Okey-Martins and a group of therapists and parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related developmental disabilities in Nigeria.

The primary goal of Autism Associates is early detection, intervention and integration of young children and adults with ASD in Nigeria. We are deeply convinced that there is hope and help for individuals living in the autism spectrum and that such hope and help can be made available in Nigeria.

Persons with developmental disabilities particularly autism spectrum disorders are at the short end of the stick in our country, where services are minimal and in critical shortage. Autism Associates emerged as one of the few services to bridge the gap in service availability for this neglected community.

Individuals with ASD are not burdens and hopeless economic liabilities as is wrongly believed by some people. In fact, they can be cute, wonderful and resourceful persons, who like everyone else, are simply different. Each individual is unique, has unique potentials and we of Autism Associates are committed to helping each person reach his or her fullest potentials.
